Every Child Is Unique

During early years of the child, the main aim of education should be to create a love and learning. If a child is not able to write , it is advisable to exercise its hand muscles through play with clay, sand, paper-tearing & scribbling. However holding a child’s hand and forcing him to write can harm its hand muscles.

Involve Child in creative activity

Children learn best from their experiences. When a child is involved in a creative activity, be it drawing, painting or building with blocks, etc., allow it to be imaginative and widen its mental perspective by thinking new things. We should not thrust our traditional stereotyped logic on the child. It may harm the child's self confidence and creativity.

Create pleasure for learning

Creating a love for learning should be the main aim of education, especially during the early years and not a fast paced academic training. Forcing the child to memorise rather than make him pick up concepts through concrete activities kills in him the pleasure to learn.

Dr. Nisha Peshin has strong academic credentials.

She has 35+ years’ rich experience in areas related to school education. She started her career as a lecturer in a B.Ed. College. Later she worked in Mumbai with the Aga Khan Education Services (AKES-India), leading their School Improvement Programs in India, a subset of an international program launched in 7 countries.

She conceived and led implementation of an ‘Early Education Development Program (EEDP)’, aimed at a holistic development for children in classes LKG to II of all DAV schools, which was a huge success. She complemented it with unique programs specially designed for the parents, making it a truly integrated effort.
